Kalisa Marie Martin is a classically-trained chef with a background in food science and nutrition, based between Southern NJ and Jamaica, West Indies. In 2014, she launched a food-focused travel company that took her around the globe, hosting hundreds of guests and partnering with local, Black and brown owned businesses in Jamaica, Cuba, Bali, Morocco, and the US. With her food content brand, Kalisa Marie Eats, she shares her unique perspective on food with the world. Martin also has extensive experience in digital food media, specifically in advertising, operationsm and project management. She's looking forward to RS 21 as an opportunity to build community, raise awareness, and celebrate the unsung contributions of Black folks in hospitality.
